Placement Process

At Maharaja Agrasen University, the Training and Placement Cell follows a structured and transparent placement process to ensure maximum career opportunities for students. All final-year students are required to provide their written consent regarding participation or non-participation in the Campus Recruitment Program before the commencement of the placement session, generally conducted during the month of August.

Students who choose not to participate in campus placements may pursue opportunities such as higher education, government examinations, entrepreneurship, family business, or other career paths. The details of non-participating students are shared with their respective Schools and Departments for further academic and professional guidance.

Campus Recruitment Process

The Training and Placement Cell follows a systematic recruitment process to facilitate smooth interaction between students and recruiters.

Consent from eligible final-year students for participation in the placement process.
Student profiling and database preparation.
Sharing of student profiles and placement invitations with corporate organizations.
Receipt of recruitment requirements and job descriptions from recruiters.
Shortlisting of candidates by companies based on eligibility criteria.
Organization of campus recruitment drives or coordination for off-campus interactions.
Conduct of aptitude tests, group discussions, technical assessments, and interviews.
Final selection of candidates by recruiting organizations.
Issuance of offer letters to selected students.
Successful onboarding and joining of students in their respective organizations.

Recruitment Process

The Training and Placement Cell works with the objective of providing maximum placement opportunities to students through strong industry collaborations and professional networking. The placement activities generally commence in August every academic year. The Placement Office actively coordinates with industries, corporate organizations, and recruiters to organize campus recruitment drives in accordance with their recruitment policies and hiring requirements. Companies are requested to share detailed job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and recruitment procedures, which are communicated to eligible students through official channels.

The university provides comprehensive infrastructural support for conducting online assessments, aptitude tests, group discussions, technical interviews, and personal interviews. Based on the number of participating organizations and recruitment requirements, placement venues and schedules are finalized efficiently. Maharaja Agrasen University maintains a strong database of eligible candidates and ensures a fair, transparent, and student-centric placement process. The university strictly discourages unethical placement practices, including paid training-linked placements or recruitment involving consultancy charges from students.

To ensure equal opportunities for all eligible candidates, students are generally permitted to continue participating in placement drives until they secure an offer from a suitable organization. The Training and Placement Cell also collects regular feedback from recruiters and alumni to continuously improve student preparedness and strengthen industry relationships.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Training & Placement coordinators only hold the sole right to deal with Training & Placement matters (Internal or External). Only with the special permission of the Training & Placement officer any other student may deal with Training & Placement matters. All post job-offer communication between student and company should be channelized through the placement cell. Direct communication with the company officials is not allowed. It is mandatory for the students to register online in the company to participate in the placement process of the company. Attendance in PPT is mandatory after registration, to be eligible for further placement process. Students proceeding after the PPT for the next step in the selection process of the company cannot quit in between. If a student quits in between, then he/she will be debarred and will not be allowed to appear in any other further placement events.

Any kind of misbehaviour / complaints reported by the company officials will be taken seriously and if proven, the student will be debarred from future campus placements. A candidate is blacklisted if the candidate submits his/her willingness to participate in any on-campus or off-campus placement recruitment drive and thereby fails to present himself/herself on the day of the placement. Any negative remark in this regard made by any faculty or warden against any student will make him/her ineligible for the entire campus placement process. Besides, any student against whom more than one warning letter is issued will not be allowed to appear in campus interview.

All students must keep their identity card with them at the time of PPT/Written Test/GD/PI and produce the same when demanded by the visiting team or T&P Cell Staff. The T&P Cell is a facilitator for placement related activities and does not guarantee a job.

Any eligible student if fails to participate in any on-campus placement recruitment drive after giving his participation consent will be blacklisted from the Training & Placement Cell. The Placement facility is available to all the students registered with T&P Cell through the policy “One Job to One Student at the First Instance.” This will ensure that every student will get equal job opportunities and only few students do not consume up all the jobs.

CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVE

Campus Placement drives are conducted generally for students in last year of their academic Course. Campus Placement offer a student a wonderful opportunity to get placed during the course of his academic pursuits, and provide him the comforts of a safe and secure future. Keeping in mind the importance of the campus placement programs, it is vital for a student to prepare adequately for these programs and make sure that they put their best foot forward. Only students of Maharaja Agrasen University are allowed to participate.

OFF-CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVE

Keeping the company's convenience in view, selection processes may take place in Other University Campus or any other venue decided by the Company. The students may be required to travel and attend the same. The T&P Cell shall pass on the information received from the organization to the concerned students. The students are expected to make their own travel and other arrangements.

JOINT / POOL CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVE

In Joint placement drives, recruitment is conducted at a common place that may be a particular college or a public place where students from different colleges assemble and take part in the various stages of the placement drive.

PARTICIPATION RULES BASED ON PACKAGE

The placement policy is applicable to all students registered for Campus Recruitment Program 2026-27. All students are expected to understand the placement policy and follow it strictly.

It is mandatory for all eligible “Participating Students in Campus Recruitment Program” to participate in recruitment drives having annual package of more than 5.0 Lakh per annum.

Placed student will be permitted to attend placement drive in other companies if the Company is offering at least 30% more package than the company in which he / she was placed. 

Training and Placement student coordinator is permitted to attend placement drives of all companies regardless of amount of package and domain.

If any company offers a package of Rs. 5.0 LPA or higher, then all candidates-whether placed or unplaced will be permitted to participate in the campus recruitment drive. 

CLOTHING

Men should wear a well-tailored University Uniform with tie. Socks need to be a dark solid or a small pattern. Shoes need to be in leather (Black or Brown).

Women should wear a well-tailored University Uniform with tie. Wear low to medium leather, heeled shoes. Never wear open toe shoes.

HAIR / MAKEUP

Keep hair nice and neat. There is no specific hairstyle recommended, only that your hair should be clean and well groomed. For short haired women, hair should be shampooed and nicely cut and for long hairs it should be nicely tied up. Women, wear natural looking makeup that will flatter and compliment, not overpower, your outfit and wear only a conservative amount of Jewellery.

For men, beards and other facial hair should be neatly trimmed. Also be aware that some industries and organizations may frown on long hair or facial hair. Nails should be clean and in proper shape and size. Do not use perfume or cologne.



IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

The students will complete all required documentation, for example updated resumes in template issued by Placement Committee, submission of relevant information in accordance with the T&P Cell.

  • If there is any change in Resume (mob. No./email id/address) students should immediately inform the T&P office;
  • Formally disclose any disability which may affect the placement and for which they are seeking additional support during the placement;
  • Make contact with the T&P team once officially advised to do so.
  • Carry University student ID at all times and adhere to all by-laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the placement cell including any dress codes.
  • Maintain a level of conduct appropriate to a student in a professional setting and in accordance with the University's Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality regarding any placement information if advised by placement cell.
  • Submit your leave in the placement cell in case of any absence from the placement at least 24 Hours before placement drive.
